REVIEWS

The review request most businesses never send

Happy customers would leave a review. They just never get asked at the right moment. How an automated review funnel asks every one of them, without you remembering to.

BY AKASH KAPRUWAN

Before anyone calls you, they read your reviews. Most local businesses have far fewer than their happy customers would give them, and the reason is simple: nobody asked.

Why it doesn't happen

You finish the job, the customer is pleased, and you move on to the next one. Asking for a review means remembering to, finding the link, and sending it while the job is still fresh. On a busy week, that never happens.

Ask at the right moment

The best time to ask is right after the job is done, while the customer is still pleased with it. A text or email that arrives then, with one tap through to your Google review form, gets answered. One that arrives two weeks later does not.

Make it one tap

Every extra step loses people. The request should take them straight to your Google profile with the review box open, not to your homepage or a page asking them to search for you.

Hear the problems first

A good funnel gives an unhappy customer a private way to reach you before they post anything. You get the chance to fix it, and you hear about the problem from them instead of from a stranger reading it.

What I set up

Every finished job triggers a review request by text and email. Happy customers are sent straight to your Google profile. Your rating climbs on its own, and you can watch it on a dashboard instead of wondering.
