BUILDING

Why I build one system instead of selling four services

Most small businesses buy a website, SEO, a review tool, and a chat widget from four different places, and none of them talk to each other. Here is why I build them as one.

BY AKASH KAPRUWAN

Most small businesses get sold four separate things: a web designer, an SEO agency, a reputation tool, and a chat widget. Four invoices, four logins, and nothing that talks to each other.

Each vendor does their piece. Nobody owns the result.

The gaps are where customers get lost

  • The SEO work gets someone to the site, but the site was never built to turn them into a call
  • The site gets the enquiry, but nobody answers at 7pm and the lead goes cold
  • The review tool asks for reviews, but the profile it sends people to has not been touched in a year

Every handoff between vendors is a place a customer can fall through, and nobody is watching the whole path.

The parts feed each other

When the same team builds all of it, the pieces start working together. Reviews from the funnel strengthen the Google profile. The profile sends people to a site built to convert them. The leads that site brings in are caught by something that answers around the clock. Each part makes the others better.

One owner for the outcome

The real difference is not technical. It is accountability. When one person owns the whole system, there is nobody else to blame when it isn't bringing in calls. That is the job I want: not delivering a website, but being responsible for whether the business gets more customers.

What that looks like in practice

  • One build, live in days rather than months
  • One flat monthly fee, no contracts
  • One person to talk to when something needs to change

That is what I built Local Cascade to be.
